Europe Images International

Europe Images International is one of Europe’s largest television programming distributors.

Its catalogue of nearly 10,000 hours of programming includes the following genres: drama, animation, documentaries, live performance and also feature films.
This diversity and richness is maintained by close partnerships with both French and foreign producers.

Thanks to its wide industry presence, its distribution activities in France and abroad reach all areas of the marketplace (i.e. free-to-air, digital, cable) DVD and also new media (e.g. VOD, mobile phone etc).

Europe Images distributes Lagardère Entertainment productions, including Wellies & Whispers, produced by Merlin Productions for France 3 and My Giant Friend, by Timoon Animation for Gulli. Europe Images also distributes independent producers such as Docside, for example, and its two very highly-regarded documentary mini-series, The Destiny of Rome and For Athens, broadcast on Arte as well as Muse Distribution International and its series The Kennedys.

As the media landscape changes — and changes again — the value of strong distribution networks becomes increasingly clear both to producers and distributors. Distribution is driven by three main trends: greater competition, myriad markets and viewing media, and state-of-the-art sales technology. Over the last few years, negotiations have become ever more sophisticated. Program distribution also needs to address the issue of greater variety among buyers, viewing media, and rights and permissions. Buyer numbers continue to grow. Viewing media are multiplying; with ordinary TV, TNT, cable and satellite, Internet, and mobile TV, among others. And rights, too, have evolved into a variety of forms; including TV rights, VOD rights and ancillary rights. Our mission is to distribute each project put into our care within the framework of a global strategy that enhances content value. In this rapidly changing media landscape, it is essential to manage distribution, as much for producers as in the interest of broadcasters. The distribution business is influenced by three major trends: increased competition, the proliferation of markets and media, and the increasing technical sophistication of the sales process. Negotiating conditions, in particular, have become more sophisticated in recent years. The program distribution business must also respond to diversification in terms of the continually increasing numbers of buyers, media (ordinary TV, TNT, cable and satellite, Internet, and mobile TV etc.), and negotiated rights (TV rights, VOD rights, and ancillary rights). The distribution of each project entrusted to us must therefore be seen as an integral part of an overall strategy aimed at maximizing the value of content.
