Established in 1990 and run by Denis Furne, Editions Musicales François 1er has for several years exploited the musical rights to most of the major properties owned by the LAGARDERE ENTERTAINMENT Group, but also those of independent producers. Its main activities include the financial and legal management of rights and catalogues, original creations, consulting and executive production as well as all formats of publishing: Editions Musicales François 1er.

By regularly renewing and adding to its catalogue, Editions Musicales François 1er is gradually building new bridges to companies operating outside France thanks to its recent business models and innovative media as well as providing an original musical framework for new composers and managing their environment and relationships.

Editions Musicales François 1er is in charge of formalizing and streamlining agreements and budgets and closely monitoring its own productions (series, on-air designs, feature films, documentaries, and animation). It is the preferred interface between producers, authors’ societies, music labels and publishers throughout the whole production cycle.

Some major recent productions include the original musical score of:
Borgia, Mafiosa, 1788 and ½, etc and the feature film «The Human Resources Director» whose original soundtrack won many prizes.
